Design emergency lighting built to last
Béhar designs robust architectural emergency lighting using durable materials—with respect for both people and the environment. Repairable and upgradeable, our products are built to last.
Eco-designed emergency luminaires
We engineer our emergency lighting with simplified assembly and an optimised component count to facilitate repair and reconditioning. Spare parts are available for all our models—including repair kits for older technologies—to preserve existing housings and pictograms. Our emergency lighting fixtures are designed with tomorrow’s requirements and challenges in mind.

Reconditioning
As a pioneer in reconditioning, we’ve been offering emergency lighting recovered from previous installations (cinemas, offices…) since 2024. For example, over 400 units recovered from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games sites were reconditioned to equip two parking facilities. This work is carried out in our specialized workshop in Villeneuve-la-Garenne by our skilled technicians.

Repair
99% of our luminaires are repairable, with spare parts available for a minimum of 10 years. Their design enables quick and easy maintenance with minimal tooling requirements.

Sustainable and responsible materials
We select durable materials such as steel, stainless steel, wood, and PMMA, engineered to last several decades. Our plastics are 95% recycled and used judiciously to our reduce carbon footprint from the design stage. All our batteries are made of lithium and guarantee a minimum 10-year lifespan. Our electronic components are designed and assembled in our Bologna facility to high quality standards.

Packaging optimization
To minimize packaging-related carbon footprint, we’ve eliminated plastics (tape, bubble wrap…) and individual packaging, replacing them with protective embossed paper. ncoming packaging is shredded to avoid using new materials for our shipments. These choices significantly reduce the weight and volume of our deliveries.
