“Béhar Sécurité is a recognized brand offering aesthetic products that can be adapted to many different projects (offices, hotels, cinemas…).”

Design-led solutions for office spaces

Alfred Béhar invented edge lighting in 1985 with the Etal model (now the Spark LED version), setting the industry standard. In 2025, we are reinventing this concept with the Luce model, an ultra-compact square luminaire that retains the ingenuity of edge-mounted emergency lighting, while combining discretion and efficiency. Its minimalist design meets the needs of a wide range of projects.

Mandatory maintenance of safety blocks (NF C 71-830) can be difficult, due to their large number. Our DiCube Smart Système addressable system automates monthly checks, issues compliance reports, optimizes interventions and allows only defective parts to be replaced.

Our aesthetic, customizable solutions can be integrated into any zone (reception, open space, relaxation area…), with technical and economical alternatives for parking lots, kitchens or technical rooms. All our luminaires are repairable, with spare parts and repair kits available even for older models (over 20 years old).

In France, an ERP (Établissement Recevant du Public) is a classification system used for public buildings. Offices are classified as ERP type W, along with administrative buildings and banks. This activity-based classification defines the specific safety requirements applicable to each public-access building. For offices, compliant emergency lighting ensures a safe and efficient evacuation for occupants.

Yes. Emergency lighting is required in all administrative and office buildings. Regulations mandate the installation of autonomous emergency lighting sections and, in some cases, ambient lighting units. They must clearly mark exits, passageways, and risk zones. Each luminaire must meet minimum autonomy standards and provide sufficient visibility in the event of a power outage.

Absolutely. All our models designed for office environments meet current French safety regulations and applicable standards. They ensure 1-hour emergency autonomy, high visibility, and excellent reliability. Each component is sustainable, eco-designed, and assembled in our workshop in Villeneuve-la-Garenne (France).

Many of our series are ideal for office architecture. K-NOPÉ blends seamlessly into refined interiors and timber-based projects. LUCE is designed for minimalist, discreet, and elegant integration into any ERP space. SPARK, our side-emitting luminaire, is also suitable for office installations. S-KAPE, with its dual function (emergency lighting and signage), is another versatile option for workplaces.
