“Béhar’s strength lies in their project flexibility. In addition to their catalog, they are able to follow a project through to completion, propose dedicated solutions and adapt to an architect’s request.”

Customizable solutions for all commercial spaces

We equip many malls, shopping centers and retail stores by offering customizable emergency lightings (colors and materials) that integrate with each brand’s identity. Our solutions come in multiple mounting options to suit all spaces, from downtown boutiques to flagship stores in malls (e.g., Samaritaine).

Our unique approach ensures secure evacuation from these high-density environments without compromising customer experience, through architectural integration that conserves the visual clarity of each brand’s concept.

In France, retail stores, shopping centers and malls are classified as ERP (public buildings) type M. This category covers all premises intended for selling or displaying products accessible to the public. Their emergency lighting must follow specific requirements based on category, area, and site configuration.

Units must be installed in main circulation areas, emergency exists, indoor stairs, checkout areas, and all spaces without natural lighting (storage room, back shop, restrooms). In malls, each shop must have its own emergency lighting system. The aim is to guarantee smooth evacuation during power outages without depending on common area lighting.

In retail shops and malls, regulations do not mandate addressable self-testing (SATI) units, but they are recommended for management, traceability and maintenance reasons. In malls or shopping centers, intelligent systems like DICUBE SMART SYSTEM enable centralized control, rapid fault detection and optimized technical interventions.

Discreet, compact and easy to install, all our architectural emergency lightings suit commercial environments. Among them, SPARK is available in all mounting types and functions, making it suitable for all public spaces.
